First responders said it came down to luck that the undetonated devices found in the detritus of the Multnomah Athletic Club attack did not harm anyone.
“What I’d really like to stress is how close this was and how dangerous this was,” Sgt. Jim DeFrain of the police bureau’s Metro Explosive Disposal Unit said on Monday.
